We Are

Since 2014, Method Productions (MP) has been at the forefront of immersive storytelling in Singapore, crafting over 100 unique productions that redefine audience engagement. From Singapore’s first monologue competition to boundary-pushing interactive experiences, MP seamlessly blends theatre, technology, and audience participation.

MP partnered with Netflix to present the first-ever immersive, interactive stage production for the PR launch of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. MP also worked with HashKey Capital to stage the world’s first immersive, interactive Web3 and crypto play, bringing decentralization and blockchain to life through theatrical storytelling.

Our repertoire spans improv comedy showcases, one-person shows, personal story performances, dramatized readings, film screenings, spoken word events, and experimental theatre collaborations. Beyond production, MP provides casting services and works with global brands to create unforgettable, high-impact experiences.

(02)What We Do

Method Productions creates live work that puts story, performance and audience at its centre. We develop and produce our own original shows—including intimate solo work—and create bespoke brand experiences that invite audiences to step inside the story.

We also partner with artists, producers, organisations and international collaborators to bring projects to life. From creative development and directing to producing and assembling the right local team, we help take work from its first idea through to the audience in the room.

Kamil Haque
Founder / Director

Kamil Haque

Kamil Haque is the founder and artistic director of Haque Centre of Acting & Creativity (HCAC). After 8 years working and coaching in Los Angeles Kamil returned to his native Singapore in 2013 to establish HCAC, Singapore’s first professional acting centre and Asia’s first centre to teach the preeminent Lee Strasberg’s method of acting.

Kamil graduated top of his class from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) with a BA(Hons) in Acting. He was the first student in half a century to be awarded Latin Honours for this subject. He is also the first and only Asian to be given the privilege to train and then coach at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. He is the only coach in Asia experienced in teaching the Lee Strasberg Method of Acting.

In 2011, Kamil was bestowed the honour of being invited to become a working observer at the world-renowned The Actor’s Studio. He was the first Singaporean ever to be part of the studio.

In addition to these accolades, Kamil was appointed as the Head Acting Instructor at East West Players, the USA’s oldest Asian American Theatre group, as well as the role of Internship Director at the Company of Angels (CoA), Los Angeles’ oldest repertory theatre company.

In addition to being an award winning actor and storyteller, Kamil has coached well over 2000 students, many of whom have appeared on stage as well as in major motion pictures, television shows and national commercials around the world. He has also produced, directed and acted in several award-winning and critically-acclaimed productions in USA, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Christina Liew
Creative Lead

Christina Liew

Christina Liew is a storyteller, community builder and impact advocate with 20+ years’ experience. She has a deep interest in meaningful narratives about the human experience.

As a theatre-maker, Christina has written, directed and produced a number of original productions including two commissioned pieces for the “#BuySIngLit” campaign from the National Arts Council of Singapore. She has also staged original productions with NUSS DramaWorks. She is the creator of In Their Own Words, a photo-essay installation that was exhibited in multiple sites across Singapore. Christina writes essays and personal stories that have been performed live through Method Productions.

In addition, she has also been published as part of her work on behalf of women, girls and vulnerable people. Her TEDxUWCSEADover talk from 2019 features her work at the intersection of storytelling and advocacy.

Christina is a graduate of Boston University, where she received her B.S./B.A. in Film Studies/English Literature and M.S. in Communications.

Kaelen Ong
Production Manager

Kaelen Ong

Holding a Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology from Singapore Polytechnic and The Bryan-Tan HCAC Teaching and Acting Scholarship, Kaelen has been active in both the performance and teaching industry.

She has worked with numerous companies to teach a wide range of students varying in age Speech & Drama – Pre-school Level (Metropolitan YMCA, Creative Cottage), and Primary and Secondary School Drama CCA or English Literature and Drama Enrichment Programmes (How Drama, Tongue-in-Cheek, DramaArts).

Kaelen’s performance credits include Singapore Repertory Theatre’s “Lifespan Of a Fact”, “1984” and “Ghostlight”, Young & W!LD’s “Love & Information”, and KidsSTOP @ Science Centre’s “Saving Billy!”.
